I doubt the skins were "wasted". I fully expect there will be a way to get gold inscribable versions of the new skins, probably once the whole event is over and we finish off the mantle.
Actually, I suspect that's what those medals of honour will be used for. 100 for a weapon from the mantle armory, or something like that.

Oh in that case any 8 year old child can play PVE and beat a stupid AI you didn't even need an update then. '
I was talking about a real gamers game of PVP where men and boys are separated from the childish game of PVE. PVP is where real thought of how to play comes in not PVE. Hell anyone can beat 99% of PVE with just heroes and henchies without doing a thing.

'Bots' is written with a 't'. It's an easy mistake to make, the 'y' is right next to it on the keyboard.

Well, since I've got a Mesmer who dates all the way back to Prophecies with all skills and such, guess I'll go out and cast a bit.
But seriously ANet, taking candy from babies? "Waaaaaah!"
Now get to work and fix my Paragon! To quote the intro to StarCraft 2, "Hell, it's about time!"

Compiments on the weapons. For some reason I always wanted to have such daggers and was disapointend when faction came out and all daggers were small (yes I got so into the speculatons saying there will be a new proffesion that can wield two swords, Now it can). And the bandit fire staff I always wanted that one. Time to search how the bow looks like

So, have any savvy economists figured out general prices for this new stuff? I made a nice chunk of change selling War Supplies earlier; 2k each about four hours ago, which quickly dived to 1.5 or so. I guess we'll figure out their true worth once we know what those medals are for.

Herpes is free too, and yet I'd complain if someone gave it to me.

question i have about this update from the test krewe or anet, will this stack past the max of 25 armor? will it be a waste to have more then 5 illusion skills? or does the armor stacking kick in after? i have a few creative ideas for builds but all depends on the armor stacking issue. with base armor, blessed insignia on armor, and 5 illusion skills, it would be a base of 95 armor. if u had a shield add in 8-16 armor. if you went scythe u lose the shield armor but if the 25 armor from the illusion skills dont count towards the armor stacking then you could take an armor boosting skill bringing u up to about 120 armor or more.
|
A single skill can bypass the cap, so yes; you can bring all Illusion skills and have +40 armor. Insignias and Shields all stack as well.

I sense a nerf coming to Psychic Distraction. It is a 4 second AoE knockdown with a 7 second recharge that can trigger on any skill use, not just spells (yes, melee aoe kd on interrupting attack skills lol). My mesmer hero is having a lot of fun with it vanquishing Ferndale (btw, the mesmer hench in echovald forest also has Psychic Distraction on his bar, win).

Most of these new weapon skins are available either as golds, or as pvp skins (reds)...
Unfortunately the nicest ones (in my opinion) aren't available as golds (yet).
I'd love to get my hands on a (gold) Noble dragon cane or Canthan Shortsword
